Little white tank tops all around
Baby, baby, Amy wows TV writers, NBC stars
Amy Grant knows how to pitch her upcoming NBC Three Wishes show to the nation's most powerful TV critics — sing to them.
The critics have gathered in Hollywood for an annual convention where all the major networks pitch them about upcoming fall programs.
It's NBC's turn, and the network tapped Amy to entertain the troops Monday night, drawing about 1,000 people to the trendy Century Club.
Some feared the industry crowd would be boring, but Amy ended up playing three encores for the rowdy, dancing crowd, which included stars from other NBC shows, among them Will & Grace and The West Wing.
Through the whole experience, Amy became tight with stars of other new shows, so that means — and I'm not kidding — she hung mostly with Seth Green, Dr. Evil's sarcastic snotty son in Austin Powers movies, and comedian Martin Mull, who has no known connection to Dr. Evil.
