FRANKLIN, TENN. --Besides a love for music and each other, one thing newlyweds Amy Grant and Vince Gill have in common is a love of golf. Starting Monday, they will be hosting the 2000 Electrolux USA Golf Tournament in Franklin, Tenn.

On Friday's edition of The Early Show, they'll talk about their recent wedding, as well as who'll take part in the golf tournament and which charities it benefits.

The Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) kicks off its 2000 season with the Electrolux USA Championship as part of the yearlong celebration of the LPGA's 50th Anniversary.

Gill and Grant will host the weeklong event at the Legends Club of Tennessee Golf Course, just outside of Nashville. It is a combination of tournaments that both Gill and Grant used to host separately.

Grant hosted Miss Minnie's Tee Party, a female golf tournament to benefit the Minnie Pearl Cancer Foundation.

Gill hosted The Vinny, named after himself, it was a celebrity-amateur tournament to benefit Tennessee Junior Golf.

This year's championship will feature six top money winners on the current LPGA season: Karrie Webb, Annika Sorenstam, Laura Davies, Charlotta Sorenstam, Dottie Pepper, and Nancy Scranton, along with others on the LPGA tour. They will compete for a purse of $800,000.

From May 8-10, the event will consist of smaller Pro/Am/Celeb. tournaments:

The Irish Classic (The Tennessee Women's Pro-Am)
The Vinny Pro-Am
The Bridgestone/LPGA Pro-Am
The Vinny Celeb-Am
The Minnie Pearl Tee Party

LPGA's Electrolux USA Tournament will take place from May 11-14. The 72-hole LPGA tour event will air on CBS Sunday May 14.

ABOUT VINCE GILL AND AMY GRANT

Gill and Grant were married on March 10, 2000.

They first recorded together in 1994 on Grant's double platinum album House Of Love, on which they did a duet for the title track.

Gill released his latest album Let's Make Sure We Kiss Goodbye on April 19. The album is dedicated to "THAT FRIEND OF MINE, my lifelong companion, Amy." The album has two songs co-written with Grant, and a duet "When I Look Into Your Heart".

Gill is tied with Chet Atkins for the most Grammy awards (14) for a country artist. He is also the only country artist to win awards for nine consecutive years.

Grant is a five time Grammy winner (all for Gospel) and has received several additional nominations. In 1992 she received four nominations for her pop breakthrough album, the quadruple platinum Hearts in Motion, which contained the No.1 hit "Baby, Baby." She has an additional nomination for Children Spoken Word (1998).

She is currently recording an album, which should be released later this year.

Gill has a 17 year old daughter Jenny, 17. Grant has three children Matthew, 12; Millie, 10; and Sarah 7.
