Brad Schmitt column...
Yes, Virginia, there is an Amy Christmas show
Many of you have been wondering: Amy Grant just married Vince Gill, and Vince
has said he's doing no concerts in 2000, and Amy's busy working on a new pop
album.
Does this mean we won't have the annual Amy Grant Christmas wingding at the Gaylord Entertainment Center?
Relax, my fine Yuletide-loving readers: Santa Brad is here to deliver some fine holiday news. (You didn't know Santa was Jewish, did ya? Oy!)
Amy Grant will indeed spread some Christmas cheer, Dec. 5 and 6 at the Gaylord Entertainment Center.
Yes, Vince will play and yes, Michael W. Smith will be in the house. (Look for a new really cool instrumental album from Smitty Thanksgiving week.)
And yes, the Nashville Symphony will make it all oh-so beautiful.
And yes, Target is sponsoring it, and yes, the event again is a fund-raiser for the symphony and for Vanderbilt Children's Hospital.
This year's show also features men in skirts, but we'll give you more details on that later.
Tix, which range from $25 to $150, go on sale Oct. 21.
