Pals say Amy and Vince Gill are destined to be together after she and hubby Gary Chapman split up.      Singer Amy Grant and husband Gary Chapman are calling it quits after 16 years of marriage - and friends say she's turned to handsome Vince Gill for comfort.      STAR has learned that Amy and Chapman are currently negotiating a deal to share custody of their three children and divide their millions.      "It's a sad end," says a friend of the couple, who have tried counseling.      "Their marriage is over in spirit, and will be legally too before too long."      Meanwhile, Amy has turned for support to her old friend Gill, who left his wife last year after being married 17 years.      "Vince and Amy have always denied that they've ever been more than friends," says a source. "But they're very close and talk all the time.      "Vince is always there for her and has made it clear to her that he always will be."
