Amy Grant files for divorce

A couple of months after announcing a separation, Amy Grant has filed for divorce from TNN Prime Time Countryhost Gary Chapman.

Amy cited irreconcilable differences in paperwork filedin Williamson County Chancery Court.

The two have been married for almost 17 years, and theyhave three children, Matt, 11, Millie, 9, and Sarah, 6.

Neither party commented yesterday, but it looks likethe split will be amicable.

Amy's lawyer referred to a Marital DissolutionAgreement that's already been hammered out between thetwo, and the lawyer asked the court to approve thatagreement.

The papers say the two didn't separate until Amy'spaperwork was filed Thursday.
